Vivo has launched the V80 in India as the latest addition to its V-series lineup. The smartphone arrives with a 144Hz AMOLED display, Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset and a 7,200mAh battery.

The Vivo V80 also focuses heavily on photography. It features a triple rear camera system co-tuned with Zeiss, including a 50MP main camera and a 50MP telephoto camera.

The phone starts at ₹62,999 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. It will go on sale in India from October 13 through Flipkart and Vivo’s online store.

Vivo V80 price and availability

The Vivo V80 is priced at ₹62,999 for the 8GB+128GB variant. The 8GB+256GB model costs ₹69,999, while the 8GB+512GB version is priced at ₹79,999.

The smartphone comes in three colours: Stellar Black, Horizon Blue and Sunrise Anthem.

Vivo is offering a 10 percent instant cashback or a 10 percent exchange bonus as part of the launch offers. Buyers will also receive 100GB of Google One storage at no additional cost.

144Hz AMOLED display reaches 5,000 nits

The Vivo V80 features a 6.59-inch AMOLED display with a 1,260×2,750-pixel resolution.

The panel supports a 144Hz refresh rate and offers a P3 wide colour gamut. It has a pixel density of 459ppi.

Vivo claims the display can reach a local peak brightness of up to 5,000 nits. Its high brightness mode is rated at 1,800 nits.

The combination of a high refresh rate and AMOLED panel puts the focus on smoother scrolling, gaming and media consumption.

Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 powers the V80

Under the hood, the Vivo V80 uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset. The 4nm processor is paired with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM.

Storage options go up to 512GB using UFS 3.1 storage.

The phone runs Android 17-based OriginOS 7 out of the box.

For connectivity, the V80 supports 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC and USB Type-C. It also includes an infrared blaster and an X-axis linear motor.

50MP Zeiss cameras lead the photography setup

Photography is another major focus of the Vivo V80.

The phone gets a triple rear camera system co-tuned with Zeiss. The primary camera uses a 50MP sensor with autofocus, OIS and an f/1.88 aperture.

It is paired with a 50MP Zeiss night telephoto camera. The telephoto camera also gets autofocus and OIS, along with an f/2.65 aperture.

Completing the setup is an 8MP ultra-wide camera with a 115-degree field of view.

For selfies, the V80 features a 50MP Zeiss Group Selfie Camera. It gets autofocus, an f/2.0 aperture and a 92-degree field of view.

7,200mAh battery supports 90W charging

The Vivo V80 packs a 7,200mAh battery. It supports 90W fast charging, giving the phone a substantial battery capacity while retaining fast wired charging.

Despite the large battery, the handset weighs around 203g. It measures 157.52×74.33×7.69mm.

The phone also carries IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.

With a 144Hz AMOLED display, Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, dual 50MP Zeiss cameras and a 7,200mAh battery, the Vivo V80 combines performance, photography and endurance in a premium V-series package.
