The phone also brings a 1.5K AMOLED display, a MediaTek Dimensity 7300e chipset and a 50MP Sony primary camera.
It starts at ₹38,999 for the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. The 8GB RAM and 128GB storage model costs ₹42,999.
The phone will go on sale in India from October 20 through Flipkart, Amazon, the Vivo India website and other retail channels.
Vivo S2 FE price and launch offers
The Vivo S2 FE is available in three colour options — Stellar Green, Titan Black and Zen White.
The base model with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage costs ₹38,999. Meanwhile, the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant is priced at ₹42,999.
As part of the introductory offers, buyers can get a 10 percent instant cashback or a 10 percent exchange bonus.
Vivo is also offering 100GB of Google One storage at no extra cost. Buyers can additionally get up to 40 percent off on V-Shield screen damage protection.
6.83-inch AMOLED display gets 120Hz refresh rate
The Vivo S2 FE features a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution of 1,260×2,800 pixels.
The panel supports a 120Hz refresh rate and has a pixel density of 449ppi. Vivo claims it can reach up to 2,000 nits of peak brightness in high brightness mode.
The display is designed to offer a sharper viewing experience than a standard Full HD+ panel. The 120Hz refresh rate should also make scrolling and supported animations feel smoother.
Dimensity 7300e powers the phone
Under the hood, the Vivo S2 FE uses the 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 7300e 5G chipset.
The phone comes with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage.
For thermal management, Vivo has equipped the smartphone with a 3,800-square-millimetre vapour chamber.
The S2 FE runs OriginOS 6 based on Android 16. Connectivity options include 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4 and USB Type-C.
50MP Sony camera leads the rear setup
For photography, the Vivo S2 FE gets a dual rear camera setup.
The primary camera uses a 50MP Sony IMX852 sensor. It is paired with a 2MP secondary bokeh camera.
For selfies and video calls, the phone features a 32MP front-facing camera.
The camera setup keeps things relatively straightforward, with Vivo focusing on a high-resolution primary sensor rather than adding multiple rear cameras.
10,000mAh battery is the biggest highlight
The biggest talking point of the Vivo S2 FE is its 10,000mAh battery.
Vivo pairs the large battery with 44W wired fast charging. The company claims the phone can deliver up to 68 hours of calling time and up to 30 hours of TikTok playback on a single charge.
The large battery does add some weight. The Vivo S2 FE weighs around 225g and measures 163.9×76.5×8.69mm.
For durability, the smartphone carries IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.
With its combination of a 10,000mAh battery, 1.5K 120Hz AMOLED display and 50MP Sony camera, the Vivo S2 FE takes a different approach to the mid-range segment. Its focus is clearly on battery endurance while still retaining features expected from a modern 5G smartphone.
