News in Short

  • Adobe is offering eligible students in India a free one-year Photoshop subscription.
  • The annual plan is available at 100 percent off during the promotional period.
  • The regular annual price is ₹1,999, while the promotional checkout price is ₹0.
  • Students need to provide their college details during verification.
  • UPI AutoPay authorisation may require a small token payment of around ₹2.
  • The subscription renews at ₹1,999 per year after the free period unless cancelled.

Adobe has announced a limited-time Photoshop offer for students in India. Eligible students can get a one-year subscription without paying the usual annual fee.

The promotion gives students the annual prepaid Photoshop plan at 100 percent off. At checkout, the regular ₹1,999 annual price is shown alongside a promotional amount of ₹0.

However, the offer comes with an important renewal condition. The subscription will automatically renew at ₹1,999 per year after the first 12 months. Students who do not want to continue with the paid plan will need to cancel before the free period ends.

Adobe also notes that the promotion can end without notice. Therefore, students who see the ₹0 checkout price may want to complete the process while the offer remains available.

Who can claim the free Photoshop subscription?

The promotion is specifically aimed at students in India. It is not available to every Adobe account.

Students need to provide their college details during the checkout process. Adobe uses this information as part of the eligibility process for the offer.

You will also need an Adobe account. Existing users can sign in, while new users can create an account during the process.

The offer provides access to Photoshop for 12 months. After activation, students can download and use Photoshop through Adobe’s Creative Cloud app on desktop.

How to claim free Photoshop for one year

Start by opening Adobe’s Photoshop student offer page and proceeding to the promotional checkout.

Next, sign in with your Adobe account. If you do not have one, create an account using your email address.

At checkout, select UPI as the payment method. You will then need to enter the requested college details.

The process also requires UPI AutoPay authorisation. Adobe’s checkout information indicates that a small token amount of around ₹2 may be charged while setting up the mandate.

Once the authorisation is completed, the Photoshop subscription should activate for the next 12 months.

Students can then download Photoshop through the Creative Cloud application and start using the software.

Remember to check the renewal date

The biggest catch with the promotion is the automatic renewal.

Although the first year costs ₹0, the subscription switches to the regular ₹1,999 annual price after the promotional period. The charge can therefore apply if the subscription remains active.

Students who only want the free year should check their Adobe account after activation. They can then cancel the renewal if they do not plan to continue with Photoshop.

Since Adobe says the promotion may end without notice, availability can also change. It is worth checking the final checkout amount before completing the subscription.
