The iQOO Pad Ultra has officially launched in China as a gaming-focused tablet. It arrives alongside the iQOO 16 and iQOO Gaming Headset. The tablet combines a high-refresh-rate OLED display with flagship-grade hardware. It also brings a dedicated gaming chip and an active cooling system. Meanwhile, a large battery aims to support longer gaming and entertainment sessions.

iQOO Pad Ultra Price and Availability

The iQOO Pad Ultra starts at CNY 6,499, roughly Rs. 92,900, for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. The 16GB+256GB model costs CNY 7,199, around Rs. 1,02,900.

Meanwhile, the 16GB+512GB variant costs CNY 7,999, roughly Rs. 1,14,400. The top-end 16GB+1TB version costs CNY 8,999, around Rs. 1,28,600.

The tablet comes in Star Silver and Twilight Black finishes. It will go on sale in China from October 5. Pre-orders are already open through the Vivo China website.

There is currently no India launch information provided for the iQOO Pad Ultra.

iQOO Pad Ultra Gets a 165Hz OLED Display

The tablet features an 8.8-inch 2K AMOLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate. The panel can reach up to 4,500 nits of local peak brightness.

It also supports up to 500Hz touch sampling for gaming. This should help the tablet respond quickly to touch inputs during supported games.

The high refresh rate also supports gaming at up to 165fps in select titles. Additionally, the display supports features such as HDR enhancement and ray tracing in compatible games.

Snapdragon Chip and Dedicated Q4 Gaming Processor

Under the hood, the iQOO Pad Ultra uses an octa-core Snapdragon 8 Elite-series processor. It pairs with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage.

iQOO has also added its self-developed Q4 gaming chip. The company says it can improve frame rates and image quality in supported games.

The chip supports frame interpolation, super-resolution and enhanced graphics processing. The tablet also supports QNSS super-resolution rendering.

For gaming controls, iQOO includes its Q-flex touch control system. It offers a claimed 500Hz sampling rate, dual X-axis linear motors and 4D vibration.

Five-Layer Cooling System With Active Fan

Gaming tablets can generate significant heat under sustained workloads. Therefore, iQOO has equipped the Pad Ultra with a five-layer cooling system.

The setup includes a large active cooling fan and a total heat dissipation area of 23,253 square millimetres. It also has dual air intakes and three fan-speed levels.

According to iQOO, the system helps the tablet deliver up to 165fps in select games. It also supports features such as ray tracing and HDR enhancement.

9,020mAh Battery and Four Speakers

The iQOO Pad Ultra packs a 9,020mAh typical-capacity battery. It supports 66W wired charging.

For audio, the tablet gets a symmetrical four-speaker system with Super Audio 8.0. It also includes a 10-band equaliser and spatial audio features.

Voice enhancement is available as well. iQOO says this can help deliver clearer conversations during gaming and calls.

The tablet also includes a 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera.

OriginOS 7 HD and Gaming Accessories

The iQOO Pad Ultra runs Android 17-based OriginOS 7 HD. It also supports Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4 and a USB Type-C port.

The tablet supports Type-C digital headphones and PC-level productivity features. These include WPS, CapCut and multi-device connectivity.

The Pad Ultra measures 197.36×126.25×5.74mm and weighs around 298g. iQOO is also offering optional gaming accessories.

These include a dual-sided gaming clamp and the iQOO G1 telescopic controller. The clamp keeps the tablet secure during gameplay. Meanwhile, the controller adds physical gaming controls.
