Motorola has unveiled its latest flagship smartphone, the Motorola Signature 27, at Snapdragon Summit 2026.
The new phone follows the Motorola Signature launched earlier this year. It is also among the first smartphones announced with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset.
Motorola is using the Signature 27 to bring together flagship performance, AI features and a more premium camera system. The phone also introduces Audio by B&O to Motorola’s smartphone lineup.
Motorola Signature 27 Price and Availability
Motorola has not announced the price of the Signature 27 yet.
The company has also not confirmed an exact sale date. However, Motorola says the smartphone is expected to launch in global markets later this year.
The phone will be available in two colour options. These are Pantone Coal Smoke and Pantone Capulet Green.
The Coal Smoke version gets a woven texture designed to improve grip and durability. Meanwhile, the Capulet Green variant uses a brushed finish inspired by textiles.
Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 Powers the Phone
The Motorola Signature 27 is powered by Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset.
The processor was announced alongside the standard Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 at Snapdragon Summit 2026.
Qualcomm positions the Extreme variant as its flagship mobile platform. Motorola says the chipset will improve on-device AI capabilities, camera performance, gaming responsiveness and download speeds.
Motorola is also paying attention to sustained performance.
The Signature 27 gets the company’s ArcticMesh cooling system. It combines diamond-infused thermal gel, liquid metal and copper mesh with a redesigned 3D vapour chamber.
Motorola says the vapour chamber is 40 percent larger than the previous generation.
200MP Periscope Camera Leads the Setup
Camera hardware is another major focus of the Signature 27. The phone gets a 50-megapixel Sony LYTIA 910 main camera. It is paired with a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera.
Motorola is also adding a Video Enhancement Engine. The AI-based system analyses scenes before and during recording.
It can then adjust colour tones in real time while users record video. Motorola has not yet revealed the remaining camera sensors or their specifications.
Gemini Omni Brings AI Video Creation
AI features are not limited to camera processing.
The Signature 27 will support Google’s Gemini Omni. Motorola says the feature can turn prompts, photos or existing video footage into finished videos.
Users can also use Google’s Lyria to generate music and soundtracks.
These features add generative AI capabilities directly to the phone’s creative tools. However, the source does not provide details about processing limits or availability by market.
Seven Years of Software Updates
Motorola is also making a longer software support commitment with the Signature 27. The company promises seven years of OS upgrades for the smartphone.
The Signature 27 is expected to launch with Android 17. This gives the upcoming flagship a longer stated software support period than many previous Motorola devices.
However, Motorola has not yet disclosed the exact software features that will ship with the phone.
First Motorola Phone With Audio by B&O
The Signature 27 also marks a new audio partnership for Motorola. It is the first Motorola smartphone to feature Audio by B&O. The Bang & Olufsen branding is etched onto the rear panel of the handset.
Motorola has not yet revealed the complete audio hardware specifications. Several other important specifications also remain unknown. These include the display size and resolution, battery capacity, charging speeds, RAM, storage and the remaining camera sensors.
For now, the Motorola Signature 27 is positioned as a flagship built around Qualcomm’s latest processor, a high-resolution telephoto camera and expanded AI features.
The final picture will become clearer once Motorola announces its pricing, full specifications and launch date.
