News in Short

  • Leaked CAD renders reportedly show the Samsung Galaxy S27 Pro, a new model expected to sit below the Galaxy S27 Ultra.
  • The phone could feature a 6.6-inch display, a 5,200mAh battery and a camera setup similar to the Ultra, but without an S Pen.
  • The Galaxy S27 Pro could use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Extreme, although Samsung may use the Exynos 2700 in some markets.

Samsung could add a new model to its Galaxy S27 lineup next year. Leaked CAD renders have reportedly revealed the Samsung Galaxy S27 Pro. The phone appears to borrow several design elements from the Galaxy S27 Ultra.

However, the phone could take a different approach to size. It may feature a 6.6-inch display, making it smaller than the Ultra. The phone may also skip the S Pen slot.

The leak comes from Android Headlines. Samsung has not yet confirmed the Galaxy S27 Pro or its specifications.

Galaxy S27 Pro Design, Display

The leaked CAD renders show a phone with a design similar to the Galaxy S27 Ultra. A camera bar runs across the rear of the device. It houses a triple-camera setup.

The renders show the phone in purple. However, Samsung has not confirmed this colour. The source notes that render artists often use striking colours to highlight leaked designs.

According to the leak, the Samsung Galaxy S27 Pro could measure 154.06×73.77×7.95mm. The phone should also feature a 6.6-inch display.

That would make it around 9mm shorter and 5mm narrower than the Galaxy S27 Ultra. As a result, the Galaxy S27 Pro could offer easier one-handed use.

The new camera design could bring another benefit. According to the report, the camera bar could reduce the camera wobble that occurs when the phone lies flat. It could also leave more room for larger camera components and a bigger vapour chamber.

Samsung Galaxy S27 Pro May Skip the S Pen

The Galaxy S27 Pro could share much of its hardware with the Galaxy S27 Ultra. However, the leaked design shows no dedicated S Pen slot.

This could become the key difference between the two models. Samsung may position the Galaxy S27 Pro as a smaller alternative for users who want Ultra-level hardware without the larger body.

The naming would also mark a change for Samsung. The company currently uses the Plus and Ultra names for its premium Galaxy S models.

Galaxy S27 Pro Specifications Could Mirror the Ultra

The Samsung Galaxy S27 Pro could use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Extreme chipset. The processor reportedly reaches clock speeds of up to 5GHz.

Samsung could also use its Exynos 2700 chipset in some markets. However, the report treats this as a possibility rather than a confirmed specification.

The phone could offer 12GB of RAM as standard. Samsung may also introduce a 16GB option with higher storage tiers.

Storage options could include 256GB, 512GB and 1TB.

Galaxy S27 Pro Camera Details

The camera setup could closely follow the Galaxy S27 Ultra. The leaked specifications point to a 200-megapixel primary camera and a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera.

The telephoto camera could bring a notable difference. The Galaxy S27 Pro may use a 12-megapixel 3x telephoto camera. In comparison, the Galaxy S27 Ultra reportedly uses a 5x telephoto camera.

However, these camera specifications remain unconfirmed. Samsung has yet to announce the Galaxy S27 series.

Galaxy S27 Pro Could Get a 5,200mAh Battery

The phone could pack a 5,200mAh battery. That would give it a larger capacity than the Galaxy S26 Ultra.

The source links the expected increase to Samsung’s possible use of silicon-carbon battery technology. Samsung has already used this technology in its 2026 foldable phones, according to the report.

Still, Samsung has not confirmed the battery capacity or battery technology for the Galaxy S27 Pro.

Samsung Galaxy S27 Pro Launch Timeline

Samsung has not announced a launch date for the Galaxy S27 series. The source expects the company to unveil the lineup in February 2027.

Samsung launched the Galaxy S26 series in late February this year. Before that, the company usually unveiled its Galaxy S series in January.

Therefore, the phone could arrive in February 2027. Samsung has not confirmed this timeline yet.
