Google has officially confirmed that the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro are nearing the end of their software support lifecycle. The company announced that Android 17 QPR1 will be the final major update for both smartphones, confirming that the first-generation Tensor-powered Pixel devices will reach end-of-life status later this year.
The announcement came alongside the release of Android 17 QPR2 Beta 1, from which the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro have been excluded. While the devices are still expected to receive one last round of updates, Google has now clarified that their software journey is almost complete.
