The Xiaomi 18 Pro could bring one of the biggest hardware upgrades in the company’s flagship lineup if a new leak proves accurate. Fresh details suggest the upcoming smartphone may feature two 200-megapixel rear cameras, a 7,000mAh battery, and Qualcomm’s next-generation Snapdragon 8 Gen 6 series chipset. Xiaomi has not confirmed the device yet, but the handset is expected to debut later this year.
The latest leak points to significant improvements over the Xiaomi 17 Pro, particularly in photography, battery life, and overall performance.
Xiaomi 18 Pro specifications leaked
According to Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station, the upcoming flagship will reportedly feature a compact flat display with slim bezels. While the display size remains unknown, earlier reports hinted at a next-generation 2K resolution panel.
The biggest upgrade could arrive in the camera department. The Xiaomi 18 Pro is tipped to feature a 200-megapixel primary camera alongside a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto sensor. If accurate, the dual 200MP setup would mark one of Xiaomi’s biggest camera upgrades to date and could target users looking for flagship-level photography and long-range zoom.
The phone is also expected to receive an upgraded stereo speaker system, a larger vibration motor, and several refinements aimed at improving the overall user experience.
Bigger battery and faster charging
Battery capacity could see a major jump as well.
The leak claims the Xiaomi 18 Pro will pack a 7,000mAh battery, a notable increase over the 6,300mAh unit found in the Xiaomi 17 Pro.
The flagship is also expected to support 100W wired fast charging and wireless charging, allowing users to recharge the large battery quickly.
If these specifications become official, the Xiaomi 18 Pro could rank among the flagship smartphones with the largest battery capacities.
Snapdragon 8 Gen 6 could power the flagship
Under the hood, Xiaomi is expected to use Qualcomm’s unreleased Snapdragon 8 Gen 6 series processor. Reports suggest the chipset could be manufactured using a 2nm process, offering improvements in performance, power efficiency, and on-device AI capabilities.
Earlier leaks also suggested the smartphone may include a new privacy feature similar to Samsung’s Privacy Display technology, although Xiaomi has not confirmed any software features yet.
How it compares with the Xiaomi 17 Pro
The current Xiaomi 17 Pro ships with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, a 6.3-inch 2K display, and a 6,300mAh battery. It also features a triple 50-megapixel rear camera setup.
If the latest leak is accurate, the Xiaomi 18 Pro would deliver notable upgrades in battery capacity, camera resolution, and processing power while retaining its premium flagship positioning.
Launch timeline
Although Xiaomi has remained silent about the Xiaomi 18 Pro, reports suggest the flagship could launch in September, shortly after Qualcomm unveils its next-generation Snapdragon platform.
Until then, the leaked specifications should be treated as unofficial.
