News in Short

  • The Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra could start at €2,199, while the Fold8 may begin at €1,999.
  • The Galaxy Z Flip8 is tipped to start at €1,299.
  • All leaked prices are higher than last year’s models.
  • Samsung is expected to unveil the devices on July 22 in London.

Samsung’s next generation of foldables could become significantly more expensive. Ahead of the company’s expected Galaxy Unpacked event on July 22, a fresh leak has revealed the rumored European prices of the Galaxy Z Fold8, Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Flip8, Galaxy Watch9, and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2. The leak suggests price hikes across the entire lineup, which could also translate into higher launch prices in India.

For Indian buyers planning to upgrade this year, the leak signals that Samsung’s premium foldables may move even further into the ultra-premium segment.

Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra Could Cost Over ₹2.2 Lakh in India

According to the leak, the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra will start at €2,199 for the 256GB model.

Based on current exchange rates, that works out to roughly ₹2.21 lakh before taxes and import duties.

The higher variants are expected to cost:

  • 512GB: €2,399 (around ₹2.41 lakh)
  • 1TB: €2,799 (around ₹2.81 lakh)

Although Samsung’s official India pricing usually differs from direct currency conversions, the leak suggests Indian buyers should prepare for another premium launch.

Notably, the leaked starting price is €100 higher than last year’s Galaxy Z Fold7.

Galaxy Z Fold8 Also Gets a Price Hike

Samsung is also expected to launch a standard Galaxy Z Fold8.

The leaked pricing includes:

  • 256GB: €1,999 (approximately ₹2.01 lakh)
  • 512GB: €2,199 (around ₹2.21 lakh)
  • 1TB: €2,599 (around ₹2.61 lakh)

If these figures prove accurate, the Fold8 series will become Samsung’s most expensive foldable lineup to date.

Galaxy Z Flip8 May Cross ₹1.3 Lakh

The clamshell-style Galaxy Z Flip8 is also expected to become more expensive.

According to the leak, Samsung could price it at:

  • 256GB: €1,299 (around ₹1.31 lakh)
  • 512GB: €1,499 (around ₹1.51 lakh)

These prices are reportedly €100 to €180 higher than the Galaxy Z Flip7.

If Samsung follows a similar pricing strategy in India, the Flip8 could enter a much higher premium segment than previous generations.

Smartwatches May Also Become Costlier

The price increase may not stop with smartphones.

The leak suggests Samsung will also increase prices for its wearable lineup.

Expected European pricing includes:

  • Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 (LTE): €749 (around ₹75,000)
  • Galaxy Watch9 40mm: €409 (around ₹41,000)
  • Galaxy Watch9 44mm: €459 (around ₹46,000)

The LTE variants of the Watch9 are expected to cost an additional €30.

What Does This Mean for Indian Buyers?

While Samsung has not confirmed any pricing, European prices often provide an early indication of the company’s premium positioning.

Indian launch prices usually differ due to taxes, import duties, local manufacturing, and promotional offers. However, if Samsung follows a similar trend, buyers can expect noticeable price increases across the Fold8 series and Galaxy Watch lineup.

Those planning to upgrade may also want to watch for pre-order benefits, exchange bonuses, and bank discounts, which Samsung traditionally offers during flagship launches in India.

Launch Expected on July 22

Samsung is widely expected to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold8, Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Flip8, Galaxy Watch9, and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 during its next Galaxy Unpacked event in London on July 22.

The company has not confirmed pricing or specifications yet. Until then, buyers should treat these figures as leaks rather than official information.
