Dell has expanded its gaming portfolio in India with the launch of the Alienware 15. Positioned as the company’s most accessible Alienware laptop yet, the new machine combines AMD Ryzen processors, Nvidia GeForce RTX graphics, and a high-refresh-rate display. The laptop is now available for pre-order, while additional Intel-powered models are expected to debut later this month.

What makes the Alienware 15 stand out?

The Alienware 15 features a 15.3-inch WUXGA display with a resolution of 1,920 × 1,200 pixels and a 165Hz refresh rate. The display also supports AMD FreeSync, offers a 16:10 aspect ratio, and reaches up to 300 nits of brightness for smoother gameplay and improved productivity.

Dell has equipped the laptop with a white-backlit keyboard, a multitouch touchpad, dual-array microphones, and a 720p HD webcam. The system comes in a single Nova Black finish, maintaining the signature Alienware design language.

What hardware powers the Alienware 15?

The Alienware 15 is powered by AMD Ryzen 5 220 and AMD Ryzen 7 260 processors, paired with Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 or RTX 4050 laptop GPUs featuring up to 6GB GDDR6 graphics memory.

Dell has confirmed that more powerful variants featuring Intel Core 5 210H, Intel Core 7 240H, Nvidia GeForce RTX 5050, and RTX 5060 GPUs with 8GB GDDR7 memory will launch in India later this month, giving buyers additional configuration choices.

The laptop supports up to 32GB DDR5-5600 RAM through dual SO-DIMM slots and up to 1TB PCIe Gen 4 NVMe SSD storage, ensuring fast multitasking and quick game loading times.

How does Dell handle cooling and connectivity?

Thermal performance is managed by Alienware Cryo-tech cooling, which draws cool air from vents beneath the chassis and above the keyboard before exhausting hot air through a dedicated rear vent. Dell has also included Stealth Mode, allowing users to reduce fan noise by switching from Performance mode to Quiet mode when needed.

Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, HDMI 2.1, RJ45 Ethernet, USB Type-C with DisplayPort 1.4a and up to 100W Power Delivery, an additional USB Type-C port, two USB Type-A ports, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

Depending on the configuration, the laptop is equipped with either a 54Wh or 70Wh battery with ExpressCharge and ExpressCharge Boost support. Dell also says the chassis has been tested to withstand accidental spills of up to 60ml and drops from heights of up to 18 inches, adding durability to its gaming-focused design.

Price and availability

The Alienware 15 starts at Rs. 1,15,990 in India and is available for pre-order through Dell’s official website, Dell Exclusive Stores, Amazon, and Flipkart. Buyers can also avail of launch offers, including cashback on eligible bank cards and a discounted Alienware 25-inch 320Hz gaming monitor.

With modern AMD processors, dedicated RTX graphics, advanced cooling, and upgradeable hardware, the Alienware 15 brings the Alienware experience to a broader audience. As Intel-powered models arrive later this month, the Alienware 15 lineup is expected to give gamers more options across different performance and price segments.
