DJI Mic Mini 2S Launched With 32-Bit Float Recording, AI Noise Cancellation: Price, Features

Key Highlights

  • DJI has introduced the Mic Mini 2S with 32-bit float onboard recording and AI-powered noise cancellation.
  • The microphone system supports up to four transmitters with a single receiver.
  • It delivers up to 40 hours of battery life with the charging case and offers wireless transmission of up to 400 meters.

The DJI Mic Mini 2S is now official, bringing several upgrades for creators, vloggers, filmmakers, and streamers. The latest wireless microphone system adds 32-bit float recording, AI-backed noise reduction, expanded internal storage, and broader compatibility with DJI’s camera ecosystem. It also supports up to four transmitters, making it suitable for multi-person recordings.

What makes it different?

The biggest upgrade in the DJI Mic Mini 2S is support for 32-bit float onboard recording. This technology captures a wider dynamic range and gives creators greater flexibility when editing audio during post-production. Each transmitter includes 14.5GB of built-in storage, enough to save up to 28 hours of backup recordings even if the wireless signal is interrupted.

The redesigned charging case also supports file transfers at speeds of up to 34MB/s, making it easier to move recordings to a computer.

What recording features does the microphone offer?

The DJI Mic Mini 2S allows a single receiver to connect with up to four transmitters simultaneously. Users can record in mono, stereo, or quad-channel modes depending on their production requirements. DJI has also added a Safety Track option through the DJI Mimo app, which creates a secondary recording at a lower volume to prevent clipping during sudden spikes in sound.

For clearer voice capture, the system includes two AI-powered noise reduction modes, adaptive gain control, and three voice profiles named Regular, Rich, and Bright.

Battery life, compatibility, and price

The transmitter delivers up to 11 hours of battery life, while the receiver lasts up to 10 hours. Combined with the redesigned charging case, the DJI Mic Mini 2S offers up to 40 hours of total operating time. A quick five-minute charge provides around one hour of recording.

The system also supports direct pairing with compatible DJI Osmo cameras, including the Osmo Pocket 4, Osmo 360, Osmo Nano, and Osmo Action 6, without requiring a receiver. It can also function as a Bluetooth microphone for supported mobile applications.

The standard bundle with two transmitters, one receiver, and a charging case is priced at HKD 1,299 (around Rs. 15,800). DJI also offers multiple bundle options starting at HKD 739 (roughly Rs. 9,000).

With professional recording capabilities, AI-powered audio enhancements, and longer battery life, the DJI Mic Mini 2S expands DJI’s creator ecosystem while making advanced wireless audio more accessible for modern content creation.
