Sony has officially launched the Sony Bravia 7II 4K TV lineup in India. The new premium television range arrives with Sony’s Cognitive Processor XR, True RGB LED technology, Dolby Vision support, and next-generation gaming features. The company is positioning the lineup as a high-end entertainment upgrade for users who want cinema-grade visuals, AI-powered experiences, and smoother gaming performance in one package.
The Sony Bravia 7II 4K TV series currently includes 55-inch and 65-inch models available for pre-booking. Meanwhile, larger 75-inch and 85-inch variants are expected later this month, while the massive 98-inch version will arrive in July.
What Is New in the Sony Bravia 7II 4K TV?
The biggest talking point is Sony’s first True RGB LED technology. Instead of relying on traditional backlighting systems, Sony uses separate red, green, and blue LEDs to improve color accuracy and brightness control. As a result, the TV aims to deliver richer visuals with better contrast and reduced blooming.
Sony also combines this with its RGB Backlight Master Drive Pro system. According to the company, the feature improves local dimming performance and helps maintain darker blacks alongside brighter highlights.
In addition, Sony has included RGB Triluminos Max technology. This system expands the color gamut and attempts to produce more natural-looking shades during movies, sports, and games.
The company continues using its Cognitive Processor XR. Sony says the processor analyzes content similarly to human vision and adjusts picture elements in real time.
Sony Bravia 7II 4K TV Price in India
Sony has launched the 55-inch Sony Bravia 7II 4K TV at Rs. 2,21,990. The 65-inch model carries a price tag of Rs. 2,74,990.
However, Sony has not revealed pricing for the 75-inch, 85-inch, and 98-inch variants yet.
The TVs are available for pre-booking through Sony retail stores, the ShopatSC platform, and other retail channels across India.
How Does the Display Experience Change?
Sony is heavily focusing on cinematic viewing this time. The Sony Bravia 7II 4K TV supports Dolby Vision, HDR10, HLG, and IMAX Enhanced formats. Therefore, users can stream supported content with improved dynamic range and enhanced detail.
The lineup also includes XR Contrast Booster 20. This feature attempts to improve brightness and shadow depth simultaneously.
Meanwhile, XR Clear Image technology helps upscale lower-resolution content closer to 4K quality. Sony also added XR Motion Clarity for smoother motion during sports broadcasts and fast-paced gaming scenes.
Interestingly, Sony says larger models from 65 inches onward feature X-Wide Angle Pro. This technology helps maintain color consistency even when viewers sit at wider angles.
Why Gamers May Notice the Sony Bravia 7II 4K TV
Sony is clearly targeting console gamers as well.
The TV supports HDMI 2.1 connectivity with 4K at 120Hz, variable refresh rate, and auto low latency mode. These features are becoming increasingly important for PlayStation 5 and Xbox users.
The lineup also includes Dolby Vision Gaming support. Additionally, Sony offers Auto HDR Tone Mapping and Auto Genre Picture Mode for PlayStation 5 users.
Another gaming-focused feature is Game Menu 2. It gives users quicker access to refresh rate settings and gaming controls without leaving gameplay.
Sony has also enabled PS Remote Play support.
What Audio Features Does the TV Offer?
Sony is trying to improve audio immersion alongside visuals.
On 65-inch and larger models, the company includes Acoustic Multi-Audio+. The system uses additional sound positioning technologies to make dialogue feel more aligned with on-screen action.
Voice Zoom 3 with AI Sound Separation is another key feature. It enhances dialogue clarity during movies and shows. As streaming platforms continue producing dialogue-heavy content, this feature may help users avoid constantly adjusting volume levels.
The Sony Bravia 7II 4K TV also supports Dolby Atmos and DTS audio formats.
Additionally, Sony says the TV can upscale standard sound into a virtual 5.1.4 surround experience through 3D Surround Upscaling.
Google TV and Gemini AI Features Are Coming
The Sony Bravia 7II runs on Google TV. Users can access apps, streaming services, and personalized recommendations directly from the interface.
The TV also supports Google Assistant voice commands for hands-free control. Alongside that, Sony includes support for Apple AirPlay 2, Apple HomeKit, Chromecast, and Alexa-enabled devices.
More importantly, Sony confirmed Gemini for Google TV support is coming through a future update. Once available, users may receive AI-powered content suggestions and improved voice search experiences.
This move reflects how AI integration is becoming a major focus across premium smart TVs in 2026.
Sony Is Expanding the Premium TV Battle in India
The Sony Bravia 7II 4K TV launch arrives at a time when premium television competition is intensifying in India. Brands are increasingly focusing on AI-powered experiences, gaming optimization, and cinema-quality displays instead of basic smart TV features.
Sony’s latest lineup combines display innovation, gaming support, immersive audio, and future AI integrations into one ecosystem. With larger screen sizes arriving soon, the Sony Bravia 7II 4K TV series could become one of the company’s most aggressive premium TV launches this year.
