Vivo T4 5G with Snapdragon Chip Launches in India at ₹21,999

Vivo T4 5G: Here’s Everything You need to Know

Vivo has introduced its new mid-range smartphone — the Vivo T4 5G — in India. The base model, with 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage, is priced at ₹21,999. The 8 GB/256 GB and 12 GB/256 GB variants cost ₹23,999 and ₹25,999 respectively. The phone will be available starting April 29 through Flipkart, Vivo’s online store, and retail partners.

Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 powers the device

The Vivo T4 5G runs on the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 processor. This chip supports good everyday performance and decent gaming for the mid-segment. Paired with up to 12 GB RAM, users can expect smooth multitasking. However, this is not a flagship-level chip, so high-end gaming may see some limitations over time.

A large 7300mAh battery with fast charging

What truly stands out is the 7300 mAh battery, which is among the largest in the segment. Vivo includes a 90W fast charger in the box, which is a welcome move. For users who often run out of battery mid-day, this could be a big plus. Still, the overall weight and size of the device may be slightly bulky due to the massive battery.

Bright AMOLED display with a modern design

The phone sports a 6.77-inch quad-curved AMOLED display. It supports a 120 Hz refresh rate and goes up to 5,000 nits in local peak brightness. That’s quite impressive, especially for outdoor use. Vivo has also added a tough Shield Glass for added protection.

The design is sleek and modern, and the phone is IP65 rated for dust and water resistance — a handy feature not always seen at this price.

Vivo adds AI features across the software

With the T4 5G, Vivo brings gen AI features like AI Erase, Live Text, Super Documents, and Circle to Search. These tools could help users in productivity and photo editing. The phone runs on Funtouch OS 15 based on Android 15. Vivo promises 2 years of Android updates and 3 years of security patches, which gives some confidence in long-term support.

Camera setup: Practical but not cutting-edge

On the rear, there’s a 50 MP main camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), paired with a 2 MP bokeh lens. The main camera should do fine in good lighting, but the secondary lens seems more like a formality. The 32 MP front camera is good on paper, and selfie lovers might enjoy the detail it captures.

For a phone in this price range, a wider or ultra-wide camera would have added more value to the setup.

Color options and availability

The Vivo T4 5G will be sold in two finishes: Phantom Grey and Emerald Blaze. Both have a reflective, modern look. It goes on sale on April 29 across Flipkart, Vivo’s official website, and offline stores.

Final thoughts

The Vivo T4 5G looks promising with its big battery, AMOLED display, and thoughtful software updates. The AI tools add a fresh touch. However, some areas like the secondary camera and chipset may feel underwhelming for those expecting more power. Still, at ₹21,999, the T4 5G holds a strong position in the budget-mid range Android space.
