OnePlus 13T Launches in China: Compact Flagship with Fresh Features
The OnePlus 13T is now official in China, with prices starting at CNY 3,399 (around ₹39,000). The top-end variant, with 16GB RAM and 1TB storage, costs CNY 4,499 (approximately ₹51,600). While global launch plans are not yet confirmed, if it arrives in India, we can expect pricing to begin under ₹45,000.
Compact Form, Flagship Specs
For those craving a smaller Android flagship, the OnePlus 13T fills a long-standing gap. It features a 6.32-inch flat AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1600 nits peak brightness. Protected by Oppo’s Crystal Shield Glass, the phone is slim at just 8.2mm thick.
The screen also includes an in-display fingerprint scanner and supports Face Unlock. This makes unlocking the phone quick and seamless in different situations.
Power-Packed Performance
At its heart, the OnePlus 13T runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. It pairs with either 12GB or 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and storage options include 256GB and 512GB, using the fast UFS 4.0 standard.
Battery life won’t be a concern. The phone includes a large 6,260mAh silicon-carbon battery. It charges at 80W via SuperVOOC, which is fast enough for most users. However, it skips magnetic charging, just like the OnePlus 13.
A New Button for More Control
OnePlus has replaced the popular Alert Slider with a new Shortcut Key. This change might disappoint some fans, but the new button adds flexibility. It can quickly launch the flashlight, camera, Do Not Disturb mode, or even record a voice note.
It’s a small tweak but one that could be useful once users get used to the change.
Cooling That Means Business
To keep things running smooth under pressure, OnePlus has added a 4400mm² vapor chamber. The 3D structure helps in managing heat during heavy usage like gaming or video editing. This should keep performance stable even during longer sessions.
Cameras: Smart Choices, with One Omission
At the back, the OnePlus 13T features two 50MP sensors—one main and one 2x telephoto. This setup offers better zoom flexibility compared to the usual ultrawide lenses on similar devices. The front houses a 16MP selfie camera inside a small punch-hole cutout.
However, there’s no Hasselblad branding or tuning. This might affect camera output, especially when compared to the regular OnePlus 13. That said, it still looks stronger than the camera system on the OnePlus 13R.
Final Take: Looks Promising but Needs Wider Availability
The OnePlus 13T combines strong hardware with a fresh compact form factor. It’s a solid device that offers flagship features without going overboard. But the lack of wireless charging and missing Hasselblad camera tuning are points worth noting.
Still, if OnePlus brings this phone to global markets, including India, it could hit the sweet spot for many users looking for a smaller, powerful Android device in 2025.
