Itel A95 5G launched in India with AI assistant, 50 MP camera, and Dimensity chip under ₹10,000

Itel A95 5G enters Indian market under ₹10,000

Itel has launched the A95 5G in India, pricing it at ₹9,599 for the 4 GB RAM variant and ₹9,999 for the 6 GB version. Aimed at first-time 5G users and budget-conscious buyers, the smartphone brings several premium features at an affordable cost.

AI features come built-in

A standout feature of the Itel A95 5G is its built-in AI assistant called Aivana. This assistant can check grammar, generate text, and help users discover new content. While these features may not rival top-tier AI models, they still offer a helpful boost for entry-level users looking to explore AI capabilities.

Performance and display details

The phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor. Itel has paired this chip with up to 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. For basic tasks and everyday usage, this combo should perform reliably. However, users expecting heavy gaming or high-end multitasking might need to manage expectations.

The A95 5G features a 6.67-inch punch-hole display with a 120 Hz refresh rate. This makes the screen feel smooth while scrolling or streaming. Panda glass adds a layer of protection, though it’s not as sturdy as Gorilla Glass. Still, for this price, it’s a fair inclusion.

Camera setup and battery capacity

On the rear, the phone carries a 50 MP primary camera, which should capture decent shots in good lighting. The front has an 8 MP selfie camera that does an acceptable job for video calls and casual selfies. However, the camera system may not offer much in low-light scenarios.

Itel A95 5G houses a 5,000 mAh battery, which is standard for most smartphones today. It supports 10 W charging, which feels slow in 2025, especially when competitors are offering faster charging even in the budget segment.

Software and durability

The device runs on Android 14 out of the box. This ensures users get the latest software experience, including improved privacy and UI upgrades. The phone also has an IP54 rating, which protects it from dust and minor water splashes. It’s not waterproof, but this basic protection is welcome at this price.

Where it stands in the market

The Itel A95 5G is clearly aimed at users entering the 5G smartphone market for the first time. With AI features, a high-refresh display, and a decent camera, it covers all essential areas. But compromises like slow charging and limited low-light photography keep it from being perfect.

For buyers with a budget under ₹10,000, this smartphone delivers reasonable value. It’s not the fastest or the flashiest, but for basic use, it ticks the right boxes.
