Infinix Note 50s 5G+ debuts in India

Infinix Note 50s 5G+ debuts in India with 144Hz AMOLED, Sony camera at ₹14,999

Infinix Note 50s 5G+ launches in India at ₹14,999

Infinix has officially launched the Note 50s 5G+ in India on April 18, 2025. The smartphone starts at a price of ₹14,999 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. The higher storage variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage is priced at ₹16,999. It is available for purchase exclusively on Flipkart.

The launch is aimed at budget-conscious users looking for a mix of style, performance, and 5G capability at an affordable price point.

Stunning display with a high refresh rate

One of the key highlights of the Infinix Note 50s 5G+ is its 6.78-inch FHD+ 3D curved AMOLED display. The screen supports a super-smooth 144Hz refresh rate, making it suitable for fast-scrolling apps and casual gaming. It also covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut and supports 10-bit color depth for richer visuals.

To protect the display, Infinix has included Gorilla Glass 5. While these are great inclusions for the price, users should keep in mind that AMOLED displays at this price may have longevity trade-offs under intense use.

Powered by MediaTek with Android 15 out of the box

The smartphone runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultimate chipset, paired with 8GB RAM. Users can opt for up to 256GB internal storage, giving enough space for apps, media, and documents.

Out of the box, the Note 50s 5G+ comes with XOS 15, Infinix’s custom UI based on Android 15. While it’s good to see the latest Android version on a budget device, Infinix’s XOS skin might not be everyone’s favorite due to the amount of pre-installed apps and UI tweaks.

Decent cameras backed by Sony sensor

On the camera front, the Note 50s 5G+ sports a 64MP Sony IMX682 main sensor, which is rare in this segment. The rear camera supports 4K@30fps video recording, 10x digital zoom, and features like AI Eraser and AIGC Mode. A dual LED flash is also included.

The 13MP front camera is serviceable for selfies and video calls. While the camera hardware looks impressive on paper, real-world performance will determine if it can keep up with competitors like Redmi and Realme in low-light scenarios.

Battery and fast charging included

Infinix packs a large 5,500 mAh battery in the Note 50s 5G+. It supports 45W fast charging, and the charger is included in the box — a relief at this price point.

This setup should easily last a full day of moderate to heavy use. However, given the high refresh rate and AMOLED screen, screen-on-time might vary depending on settings.

Durable design with IP rating

The phone boasts military-grade certification for durability and comes with an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance. These features are hard to find in the sub-₹15,000 category and add to the appeal of the device, especially for users with outdoor or rugged use cases.

Colours and availability

The Infinix Note 50s 5G+ is available in Marine Drift Blue (Vegan Leather), Titanium Grey, and Burgundy Red, both with a metallic finish. These options offer a stylish look, although the glossy finish may attract smudges.

Final thoughts

Infinix has packed a lot into the Note 50s 5G+ — a fast display, good battery, decent camera, and fresh Android. However, the user experience will depend heavily on software optimisation and long-term performance. At ₹14,999, it sets a solid benchmark but faces tough competition in the budget 5G segment.
