A New Era in Agentic AI
AI-powered note-taking app Fireflies has rolled out over 200 domain-specific mini apps to help users get instant insights from meeting transcripts. The feature is part of a larger effort to boost productivity and reduce post-meeting workload. The base app is free to use, while premium features start at $10 per month.
These apps aim to automate follow-ups, feedback, and task planning without users having to type in specific prompts. According to co-founder and CEO Krish Ramineni, Fireflies has seen an 8x jump in its user base and is now profitable.
No More Manual Prompting After Meetings
Usually, getting useful insights from a meeting requires custom prompts in tools like ChatGPT or Circleback. Fireflies wants to skip that step. These new mini apps instantly extract details, assign tasks, and summarize conversations — right after the meeting ends.
For example, the BANT Sales App pulls budget and timeline details for sales teams. The Agent Performance Feedback Generator reviews customer service performance and suggests coaching inputs. A Product Launch Planning App can draft a full launch strategy using just the meeting notes.
Targeted Tools for Different Roles
The new tools are built with specific roles in mind. Teams in sales, HR, operations, customer support, and management will find mini apps tailored to their tasks. Fireflies also supports integrations with platforms like Salesforce, HubSpot, Slack, Asana, Jira, BambooHR, and Microsoft Teams. This means users can push meeting outputs straight into their workflows.
Say, after a meeting, a team lead wants the summary shared in Slack. That can now happen automatically with Fireflies.
Room for Customization and Collaboration
Users can also build their own mini apps on the Fireflies platform. Soon, they’ll be able to share these custom tools within their organization. This opens doors for highly personalized use cases, especially in enterprise setups.
Fireflies is also testing meeting briefs, which provide background on participants and companies before a call. It’s working on “digital twins” that can sit in meetings and respond to simple questions on your behalf. Think of it like an assistant who never sleeps.
A Solid Step, But There’s Room to Grow
While Fireflies’ new apps are a big leap forward, there are areas to watch. The quality of insights still depends on the accuracy of the transcription. Also, too many options can feel overwhelming for casual users. A simpler onboarding process or curated recommendations might help new users navigate better.
Still, automating tasks right after meetings is a useful idea. The platform now has the potential to do more than just record meetings—it can help teams actually act on them.
Summing Up
Fireflies is betting big on AI automation to make meetings more productive. With over 200 mini apps and growing integrations, it wants to become the go-to meeting intelligence platform. For professionals juggling multiple calls a day, this could be a real time-saver — if implemented well.
