Asus Launches ExpertBook P Series in India: Business Laptops with AI, Durability, and Security in Focus

Asus Introduces ExpertBook P Series Laptops for Indian Businesses

Asus has introduced its new ExpertBook P series laptops in India, starting at ₹39,990. The lineup includes three models—ExpertBook P1, P3, and P5—each tailored for business and enterprise needs. These laptops will go on sale from April 21 through Flipkart and Flipkart Minutes, the brand’s quick commerce platform.

The laptops are designed with durability, AI capabilities, and enterprise-level security in mind. They offer a mix of rugged build quality, modern processors, and flexible hardware options for Indian businesses.

Built for Business: Durable and Dependable

The Asus ExpertBook P series carries military-grade certification, which means they are tested for high durability. According to Asus, the laptops can withstand 50,000 hinge movements and resist up to 30 kg pressure on the lid. The reinforced metal chassis adds further structural strength, making them a viable choice for professionals who travel often or work in demanding environments.

While this durability is a welcome feature, the design still leans towards the conventional side. Businesses looking for lightweight, ultra-sleek laptops might find other options more attractive in this price range.

AI-Ready Performance with Intel Processors

The highlight of the series is the use of Intel processors and support for AI-powered features. The top-end ExpertBook P5 offers the latest Intel Core Ultra 7 (Series 2) processors with up to 32 GB LPDDR5X RAM. Meanwhile, the P1 and P3 models are powered by up to Intel 13th Gen i7 H-series processors and support up to 64 GB DDR5 RAM.

The series is also equipped with high-speed PCIe Gen 4 SSDs, dual RAM slots, and dual SSD slots. While this offers great flexibility, the lack of AMD options might be limiting for companies looking to diversify their hardware ecosystem.

Security and Software That Meets Enterprise Needs

Security is a strong point for the ExpertBook P series. All models come with TPM 2.0 hardware-based encryption, a self-healing BIOS, and an optical chassis intrusion alert. Additionally, the laptops offer Microsoft device encryption and a 1-year McAfee Premium subscription.

These features will certainly appeal to IT departments and businesses with strict data protection policies. However, the inclusion of only a 1-year antivirus subscription feels short-term for enterprise use, where longer software support is often expected.

Display and Battery: Balanced, Not Exceptional

All laptops in the P series sport IPS displays with 300 nits brightness and resolutions ranging between Full HD and 2.5K. The screens are bright enough for indoor work, though creative professionals might expect better color accuracy or higher brightness levels.

Battery capacity starts at 50 Wh, with support for USB-C charging (PD + PPS) via a 65W charger. This makes the charging process flexible and fast, especially for users who carry multiple USB-C devices. Still, for full-day use, especially with heavy tasks, more battery capacity would have been ideal.

Pricing and Availability

The pricing for the Asus ExpertBook P series starts at ₹39,990 for the P1, ₹64,990 for the P3, and ₹94,990 for the P5. These price points position the laptops competitively in the Indian business segment.

Flipkart will start selling the laptops from April 21, including availability through Flipkart Minutes, a notable shift towards faster product delivery in tech retail.

Final Thoughts

Asus has made a solid attempt to address the needs of Indian businesses with the ExpertBook P series. The devices bring a mix of AI-readiness, Intel processing power, solid build quality, and enterprise-level security. However, there’s still scope for improvement in display capabilities and battery performance for high-end business users.

As businesses continue to invest in digital infrastructure, this series could serve as a practical choice—but not necessarily the most advanced one.
